Anthony P. Colavita
Since his admission to practice in 1978, Mr. Colavita has concentrated in all forms of corporate and commercial litigation, including the defense of lawyers, directors and officers and accountants in transactional disputes and intellectual property cases on both the State and Federal level through trial and appeal.
His broad-based litigation experience makes a strong contribution to the Firm and its clients. He now serves as a co-managing partner of the Firm.
Mr. Colavita received his Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law in 1977. This was preceded by a Master of Arts Degree awarded to him by Columbia University in October 1974, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Seton Hall University.
He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Western Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
He has lectured before a number of professional organizations and societies, including the New York State Bar Association, and as a guest lecturer at Hofstra University School of Law on issues of legal malpractice.
