Monte E. Sokol
Mr. Sokol concentrates on the insurance industry and his practice includes the rendering of coverage opinions; representation of insurance agents and brokers; life insurance litigation; and resolution of bad faith disputes.
He also regularly defends errors and omissions claims against religious organizations, their officers, trustees and professionals.
Mr. Sokol received a Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1975 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1972.
He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit as well as other jurisdictions throughout the United States on a pro hac vice basis.
Mr. Sokol provides in-house lectures and speaks at professional associations sponsored seminars on the wide range of legal issues that confront the insurance professional and the insurance industry.
He is a member of the Insurance Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
