Donald R. L'Abbate
Mr. L’Abbate received his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 1969.
After his admission to the Bar in 1970, Mr. L'Abbate concentrated his practice in the representation of design professionals.
In addition, Mr. L'Abbate gained extensive litigation experience in toxic tort and asbestos related matters. He is the author of a number of articles on professional liability and has lectured extensively on that topic.
He has twice been a guest lecturer at Hamline University School of Law’s symposium on construction litigation and has been a frequent speaker at chapter meetings of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
In recognition of his years of service to the design profession, Mr. L'Abbate has been awarded honorary title of AIA and membership in the Queens, New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
His articles have appeared in the New York Law Journal, and Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine's column, "Engineers at the Bar."
Mr. L'Abbate's years of trial experience have earned him the respect of his fellow lawyers and a reputation as an outstanding litigator.
Mr. L'Abbate is admitted to practice before all the Courts of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
